Shalom Kathryn
While we are glad to hear from you, we are discouraged by the questions you
have asked below.
The issue we really think you need to focus on is that we are strangers to all
the principals involved in this action. You know we don't know you. We
do not know James Trimm, wouldn't know him if we were to bump into him on thestreet,
and from what we've seen on email forums, don't particularly like his personality.
Our opinions of the Trimm/Kathryn/Bet-din affair are not what we EXPECTED to
have when YOU dragged us into this with your first email. This fact SHOULD
be extremely important to you as should the HOLY ONE's WORD echoing down through
the centuries. You can easily find various copies and interpretations
of the Torah starting with your own Bible which we have no doubt is well used.
You can find a copy at www.Jewfaq.org/ or since the owner of that website-Tracey
Rich- was gracious enough to allow me to copy his: at www.Graftedin2Torah.org/613.html
I think you can easily determine that it is not GOD's intent that we should
ever hold a brother up to public shame.
Although we can certainly understand that you may not agree with our opinion,
it IS important to you to realize that this is the opinion derived by 2 independent
Believers.....not "friends of James Trimm"......who are certainly not enemies
of your's either.
We will not debate or argue this issue with you....we are not a Bet-Din.....we
are 2 believers who try hard and spend a lot of time falling flat on their face
to walk in the way HE would have us go.
It is an interesting fact of history that those who have done the most damage
over the centuries started with the purest of motives......the pograms against
the "Jewish" believers in the third and fourth century being a case in point.
We are commanded to strength, aid, and uplift our brethern.....never to expose
them to public shame. Even the "christian church" recognizes this although
in their throwing out of the Hebraic history have no clue as to what Matthew
18 is all about. You have exposed a brother to international shame and
that's wrong. PERIOD.
Please reread the following paragraph. Note that even though we will have
nothing to do with you if you do not repent from your present course of action
and attempt to restore James Trimm, what we will do is disfellowship you, make
you to us and our congregations that we are responsible for as non-existant
and will mention your name no more. We will not hold you up to public
shame and ridicule.
----------
While we have no doubt that Kathryn started off with the purest of heart and
best of intentions, it seems to us that at present she has forgotten that as
a claimer of the covenant promises, (1) she has an OBLIGATION to believe the
best of her brothers and sisters even when their actions make you wonder AND
(2) She has an obligation to never bring a brother or sister to public shame.
We find that she has been deficient in both these areas. She needs to
recognize that James Trimm has solid legal grounds to bring a suit for (1) Defamation
of character as well as (2) slander and liable against her and that the courts
would probably award him punitative damages. In our opinion, Kathryn needs
to make restitution and thanksgiving to James Trimm. Because this is the season
of introspection and restitution and repentance, we will allow Kathryn fellowship
on our forums until after the HOLY DAYS are over. However, if she has
not attempted to restore James Trimm and the member of his Bet-Din and has not
taken down her slanderous website immediately after or before Sukkot, she will
be disfellowshipped from our forums and we will mention her name no more.
It is the season Kathryn. It is time. It is time for you to repent
and change your works. Your present works
regarding James Trimm are NOT pleasing to the HOLY ONE.
"Ecclest 3 - 1 To every thing there is a season, and a time to every
purpose under the heaven: 3 A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time
to break down, and a time to build up; 17 I said in mine heart, God shall judge
the righteous and the wicked: for there is a time there for every purpose and
for every work. 22 Wherefore I perceive that there is nothing better,
than that a man should rejoice in his own works; for that is his portion: for
who shall bring him to see what shall be after him?
In the love of Yeshua ha'Messiach
