Has Dr. James Trimm ever visited here?
Hi everyone!
Just wondering..Has Dr. James Trimm ever visited this Forum? I know
Dr. Michael Brown has. We have recently received an e-mail from a messianic
site promoting Dr. Brown's new Messianic Prophecy Bible.
Thanks..ramshorn |

Re: Has Dr. James Trimm ever visited here?
Greetings ramshorn -
To my knowledge, James Trimm has not posted here, at least not using
this name. And, while Mike Brown does posess an earned doctorate from a
well-known university, I don't think that one can say the same for James
Trimm. Here is an interesting reference to this person - "Imposters' Gallery".
It is quite amazing that nowhere on the SANJ website,
the organization headed by James Trimm, which includes information on their
"yeshivah", no credentials are listed for it's leader and presumably the
headmaster. I wonder why.
Peace,
UriYosef
PS - As to what Yatziv Patgam said, it actually took place on Trimm's "home turf", in the Messianic Q&A chat on PalTalk,
into which I was invited to come and challenge him. With one simple question
in simple Hebrew I demonstrated that James Trimm, who has claimed to be fluent
in Hebrew and Aramaic, knew less Hebrew than the averge Israeli child in
pre-school (i.e., 3-4 year old). Later, I also asked him to provide Hebrew
Bible support to some theological issue that he was touting, and he quickly
back-pedaled and admitted that no direct verses exist to support his claim
but, when a bunch of verses are interpretted in a cetain way, they would
support what he was claiming which, of course, was a bunch of nonsense. ------------------------------------

That Interesting.
Hi UriYosef,
When I used to belong to a messianic forum, Mr. Trimm would "pop in"
and then leave. He would never answer anyone's questions.
Usually he would just try to promote something then leave. At least
Dr. Brown comes aboard and says something (whether its true or not), I give
him some credit for that.
Anyway, by any chance do you remember the name of the Jewish man (Rabbi?),
that was a guest on that show along with Dr. Brown and some other missionaires?
I'm just curious to know his name. Thanks again.
Peace..ramshorn

Here is some more interesting info about James Trimm.
Pay careful attention to the comments on Mr. Trimm's Jewish background and his "doctorate".

Re: James Trimm
Greetings Eliezer -
Thanks for that link. I've heard about Trimm's "Jewishness" and about
his "Doctorate" via the "rumor mill", and that's why I didn't say anything
more than what I wrote. The link confirms now what I suspected ever since
I encountered him - he's a phony, yet he's got his following that probably
keeps him in good financial shape...
Peace,

Thanks Eli!!!
Hi Eli,
Shalom, I read the articles you posted.. Man what deception that is out there!
Here I was dumb enough about 2 yrs. ago I went and bought his book "Hebraic-Roots
Version" "New Testament"..Translated by James S. Trimm. It was very cheaply
put together..it is already falling apart at the binding..but thats a good
thing..I think I'll go burn it now.
Again thanks..it saddens my heart to see how blind I was and how the
messianic message is still so profoundly preached....sad..sad..sad ..ramshorn

don't burn it ramshorn I think
Trimm was a "sacred-namer" and if he wrote G-d's sacred name in his plagarized
forgery it is still to be handled with respect, even thought the rest of
the content is garbage. I am stuck with a "sacred name scripture that I
have covered with paper and placed in the attic. I'm not sure if I have
to bury it or not. Maybe one of the rabbis can answer? |

Technically you should burn anything a heretic makes, even if the name
is in it. But before you do that, I would appreciate a list of what you have,
since it may contain something I could use. I have a good collection of works
from many different messianics and Christians. It helps to know what they
really think. Edited by: Moshe at: 3/14/03 12:16:26 pm

Re. don't burn it.
Shalom everyone
To the ref. made about the translation from James Trimm, my wife told
me to hang on to it for now..since she bought for us. I also have "The Scriptures"
which I think we'll keep...but what about all the KJV's, NIV's, NKJV's ect
ect..? Some of the paperbook Bibles we tried tearing out the NT and giving
them to the kids.
I would hate giving them to missionaries since they'll just use it to promote their message .....ramshorn

RebMoshe, a list of what I have...left...
RebMoshe, I do not have much left as I gave books away to a group we were
involved with for a while. We had Moshe Kunichowsky's writing "The Truth
About All Israel: An M.I.A. answer to M.J.A. refutations" (or something
like that) Basically, it was MK's thoughts on who the Israelites really
were, and who the "remnant" is today. He insists that the 10 lost tribes
are current day christians. Another book we had was "In Search of Israel"
by Batya Wooten who along with her husband Angus Wooten and M. Kunichowsky
formed Messianic Israel Alliance. The two works are pretty much related,
MK uses Batya's book as a reference in his refutation paper.
The only thing I have left is "The Scriptures" published by the Institute for Scriptural Research in South Africa.
When I gave these two books away, I slipped in a CD I made from e-mails
sent to me by a former christian minister who studied Hebrew, learned the
truth, made teshuva and is/has converted. It concerned the christian theory
of the Melchizadek Priesthood and he used the TaNaKh to disprove the christian
theory. The Melkizedek priesthood was a "big thing" with the "elected rabbi"
of the group we were in.
I e-mailed Rabbi Schulman almost a month ago asking for advice on how to
get our friends in this group to understand the truth and come out of what
they are doing, but I know he is very busy. I feel responsible for getting
them into this situation, I was the one who found Kunichowsky's site. So
far, they have only been attracting other christians to their group. They
weren't satisfied with just coming over our house on Shabbat to study and
find the truth on our own, they wanted a church congregation desperately.
The worst mistake my husband and I made was partially financing the youngest
guy and his wife to go to Kunichowsky's conference in Wilkes-Barre Pennsylvania
in the summer of 2001. A month after the conference, we left the group.
Kunichowsky bragged about converting a Jewish man and his son to his fraudulent
group during the conference. I don't remember the man's name, only that
he was the manager (or one of) of the hotel where the conference was held.
I think it was the Marriott Hotel? I'd like to contact the manager and let
him know he made a big mistake, but as for tracking him down through the
hotel---I don't want to bring unnecessary attention to him.
Kunichowsky's "gig" was that if you were not born a Jew, then you are and
Israelite, of the 10 lost tribes---and you are not a messianic Jew, but a
messianic Israelite! When he split from the Wootens in early spring 2001
(ironically at my husband's direction!
) he put up a new site apart from "yati" called www.2house.org he posted
the "doctrine" of virgin birth, trinity etc. When I checked the site after
the young couple returned from the conference and learned of his christian
doctrine, we tried telling the group it was wrong, gave them loads of information
and proof and they just threw back at us new testament quotes. We gave up
trying and left them to their own endeavors. One thing I find funny (or
obnoxious, I'm not sure) is they go to great lengths to keep kosher, wear
kippot all the time, not shave AT ALL, wear tzitzit, etc., but they do that
which is most contrary to Judaism---they still pray to JC and falsely believe
JC is G-d or G-d's "virgin-born" son! What is the point in manifesting certain
mitzvot on the OUTSIDE if you don't manifest the most important one on the
INSIDE? |

RebMoshe, found another book I
almost forgot, I have another book called "Fossilized Customs", the pagan
source of popular customs. by Lew White. This is a messianic nazarene israelite
perspective (in Lew White's own words. It is great for exposing the pagan
background of christianity, but the guy still can't come completely out of
the church. He uses the paleo-Hebrew for the tetragrammon and makes up a
paleo-hebrew name for jesus by using the tetragrammon as a prefix and using
the ending "shua". He says the meaning of the name is "Yah is salvation".
I find it funny (disturbing) that he says that the dying sun-god redeemer
is rooted in Babylon and is sun-worship and magic; but he thinks that if
you change jesus's name to a hebraic sounding name then it makes it alright!
Like saying the christianized jesus is wrong, but the Jewish jesus is right.
We also had "Come Out Of Her, My People", by Chris Koster, but we gave that
away a couple years ago. That book along with "The Two Babylons", by Rev.
Alexander Hislop got our attention and brought us uot of christianity (for
the 6 months that we were "in" it )
Two Babylons is on the web for anyone who is interested

Speaking of books
Shalom NewJewess and others,
I too have all the books you mentioned. It seems we have a lot in common.
I am very familiar with Bayta and Angus wootten.. I also have besides "Who
is Israel" I also have "Restoring Israel's Kingdom".
I was wondering if you have ever heard of Eddie Chumney? Especially his book called "Restoring The Two Houses Of Israel?
I used to embrace these teachings and I think the mainstream of the
messianic movement know about these authors I have mentioned.
I was just curious if Nakdimion or Dr. Brown have ever heard of these
authors? I'm sure Dr James Trimm won't respond...It would be nice to hear
a response from them.
Be well and be safe in the midst of everything that is transpiring in this world of ours....ramshorn

speaking of books Chag Saeach ramshorn,
Yes, we have heard of Eddie Chumney and his book about restoring the two
houses of Israel. I didn't read it, but I got the gist of it from his other
articles. I think he had a point, to a certain degree. I think that some
day the two kingdoms will reunite (metaphorically speaking). The so-called
lost tribes are formerly known as Ephraim and Ephraim ALWAYS went after strange
g-ds. The "lost tribe" that was located on the border of Myanmar recently,
kept the mitzvot that were passed down through the generations and never
heard of jesus. Modern day christians keep what they believe to be the 10
Commandments as written, but not the rest of the law that fits each of the
10 categories. People ARE coming out of symbolic Ephraim and reuniting with
Judah, it is happening slowly but surely. It will probably take another
500 years for them to figure it out. Eras tend to last about 500 years +/-
before they come to an end and a new era takes its place. So, christians
are symbolically part of the 10 lost tribes in that they are separated from
G-d and are "lost". |

Ephraim
Hi NewJewess,
<i>I think that some day the two kingdoms will reunite (metaphorically speaking).</i>
Ezekiel 37 and Hosea 1 are only metaphoric?
<i>The so-called lost tribes are formerly known as Ephraim and Ephraim ALWAYS went after strange g-ds.</i>
I agree, please hold that thought.
<i>The "lost tribe" that was located on the border of Myanmar
recently, kept the mitzvot that were passed down through the generations
and never heard of jesus.</i>
Not quite the "MO" of Ephraim which you just told us of.
<i> Modern day christians keep what they believe to be the 10
Commandments as written, but not the rest of the law that fits each of the
10 categories.</i>
web.archive.org/web/20010...ah_24.html shows what is done with the Law by a world wide religion. Do my examples fit?
<i>People ARE coming out of symbolic Ephraim and reuniting with
Judah, it is happening slowly but surely. It will probably take another 500
years for them to figure it out. Eras tend to last about 500 years +/- before

The great day of Jezreel does not translate into a slow 500 year +/-
era nor do your population descriptions square with Hosea 1:10.
Thanks,
Fletch

thank you Fletch8
Wow Fletch8, take it easy.
It was my fault for not expressing myself properly.Yes, I do believe that
both kingdoms will be reunited someday. But, I should have said the metaphoric
northern kingdom. People who are believed to be some of the lost tribes
have been located, have been converted by the chief rabbinate (?) in Israel
and have made aliyah. Modern day christians are coming out of the church
slowly, and either converting or becoming b'nei noach. The reuniting has
already started and I believe it will continue on its stated course. Will
there be some cosmic event that will happen in the future, all at once, that
will bring back the remnant of the northern kingdom? Will those practicing
idolatry understand this event and come back to the One True G-d, or will
they attribute it to jesus because of the brainwashing that was done to them
by their pastors? How shall I put this in better words; will ALL christians
repent and return, or will only those who open their eyes and their hearts
do so and the rest be destroyed? Fully half the world population is either
christian or muslim. The other 2.8 billion, will they understand the event
or will they attribute it to their "savior"? As for the "eras", it depends
on what you perceive to be the "end times". Christians believe it to be
some magical complete end to the world as we know it with jesus riding in
on the back of the Hale-Bopp comet or something, they're waiting for the
rapture bus to come and fly them away to heaven! I believe that something
will happen that will cause a great majority of idolaters (the ones who haven't
converted already) to reject their faith and come to worship the One True
G-d in the proper manner. The world will still be around and the righteous
will enjoy it. Will it happen in my lifetime? I don't know, but I pray
it does. Many "eras" have come and gone over the course of recorded history.
Many civilizations have died out or been absorbed into other civilizations.
Only Judaism (as far as I know) has endured through all those eras. So
these "end times" can very well be the passing of the "christian era" and
the elevation and beginning of the messianic era. (no, I'm not talking messy-antic
jews )
I enjoyed the link you posted, I'd like to pass it along to my neighbors
who are messianic "israelites", as they call themselves. Maybe this would
get them to see the christianity in their beliefs. Thank you very much
Fletch8, I stand corrected |
