dedi [YHWH, Yahuweh] created
the heavens and the earth simply by saying, “Let it be”. His voice
and words are so powerful that they have created everything. Bereshiyth [Genesis]
1:3-28, "and dedi said, 'let light come to be,' and light came to be,…and dedi said, 'let and expanse come to be in the midst of the waters, and let
it separate waters from the waters.' and dedi made the expanse, and separated the waters, which were above the expanse.
and it came to be so…and dedi said, ‘let the waters be gathered
together into one place, and let the dry land appear.' and it
came to be so…and dedi said, 'let the earth bring forth herbs, the plant that yields seed, and
the fruit tree that yields fruit according to its kind, and whose
seed is in itself, on the earth.’ and it came to be so…and dedi said, 'let lights come to be in
the expanse of the heavens to separate the day from the night,
and let them be for signs and appointed times, and for days and
years, and let them be for lights in the expanse of the heavens
to give light on the earth,' and it came to be so…and dedi said, 'let the waters team with shoals of living creatures and let birds
fly above the earth on the face if the expanse of the heavens.'…and
dedi
Blessed them, saying, 'bear fruit
and increase, and fill the waters in the seas, and let the birds
increase on the earth.'…and dedi said, 'let the earth bring forth
the living creature according to its kind: livestock and creeping
creatures and beasts of the earth, according to its kind.' and
it came to be so. and dedi said, 'let us make man in our image, according to our
likeness, and let them rule over the fish of the sea, and over
the birds of the heavens, and over the livestock, and over all
the wild animals and over all the creeping creatures that creep
on the earth.' and dedi
created man in his image, in the
image of dedi, he created him - male and female he created them. and dedi blessed them, and dedi said to them, 'bear fruit and increase, and fill the earth and subdue
it, and rule over the fish of the sea, and over the birds of the
heavens, and over all creatures moving over the earth.' "
Through His Word, He created everything. Yahuchanan [John] 1:3, "all came to be through him, and without him not
even one came to be that came to be." Thehilliym [Psalm]
33:6, 9, "by the word of dedi the heavens were made, and all their armies by the ruach of his mouth…for he spoke, and it came to be; he commanded
and it stood fast." Iyowb [Job] 37:6, "for he says to the snow.
'be on the earth,' also to the gentle rain and the heavy rain
of his strength."
The words of dedi are not false, null or void; they
always accomplish what they are set out to do. YeshaYahu [Isaiah]
55:11, " 'so is my word that goes forth from my
mouth, it does not return to me empty, but will do what i
please, and will certainly accomplish what i
sent it for.' " Luke
1:45, " 'blessed is she who believed, for that which dedi has said to her will be accomplished.' " Ekah [Lamentations]
2:17, " 'dedi has done what
he planned, he has fulfilled his word which he commanded in days
of old…' " Revelations 17:17, " for dedi did give it
into their hearts to do his mind to be of one mind, and to give
their kingdom to the beast, until the words of dedi will be accomplished." HaDebariym [Deuteronomy]
18:15-18, " '
dedi will raise
up for you a nabiy [Prophet] like me
from your midst, from your brothers. listen to him, according
to all you asked of dedi in choreb in the day of the
assembly, saying, "let me not hear again the voice of dedi, nor let me see thus great fire anymore otherwise i will die." and dedi said to me,
"what they have spoken is good. i
will raise up for them a nabiy like
you out of the midst of their brothers. and i
will put my words in his mouth, and he will speak to them all
that I command him." ' " The words of dedi are always filled and always true.
His word made flesh, Yahusha`, fulfilled many of the words
of dedi, given to various nabiyiym [prophets].
YeshaYahu [Isaiah] 7:14,
" 'therefore dedi himself will give you a sign, see, a virgin will be with child
and bear a son, and she will call his name immanu’el.'
"
MaththiYahu
[Matthew] 1:22-23, "and all this
came to be to in order to fill what was spoken by dedi through the nabiy [prophet], saying,
'see a maiden will conceive, and she will give birth to a son,
and the will call his name immanu’el.'…"
Hoshea [Hosea]
11:1, " 'when yisrael was a youth i loved him, and out of mitsrayim
[Egypt] i called
my son.' "
MaththiYahu
2:15, " '… to fill what was spoken by dedi through the nabiy
[prophet] saying, "out of mistrayim
i have called my son." ' "
YeshaYahu 9:1-2, " 'but there will be no more gloom for her
who was in anguish; in earlier times he treated the land of zebulun
and the land of nafthaliy with contempt,
but later on he will make it glorious, by the way of the sea,
on the other side of yarden [Jordan], galil [Galilee]
of the goyim. the people who walk in darkness will see a great
light; those who live in a dark land, the light will shine on
them.' "
MaththiYahu
4:14- 15, " 'to fill what was spoken by yeshayahu the nabiy saying, "land
of zebulun and land of nafthaliy,
the way of the sea, beyond the yarden,
galil of the goyim, the people who sat in darkness saw a great
light, and upon those who sat in the land and shadow of death,
light arose to them." ' "
YeshaYahu 42:1, " 'look, my
servant, whom i uphold; my chosen one
in whom my nafesh delights. i have put my ruach upon him; he will bring forth justice to the goyim.'
"
MaththiYahu
12:17, "in order that what was spoken by yeshayahu the nabiy, might be filled,
saying, 'see my servant whom i have
chosen, my beloved in whom my being did delight. i
will put my ruach on him, and he will
declare right ruling to the goyim.' "
Thehilliym [Psalm]
78:2, " 'i will open
my mouth in a parable; i will utter
dark sayings of old,' "
MaththiYahu
13:35, " 'so that what
was spoken by the nabiy might be filled,
saying, " i will open my mouth
in parables, i will pour forth what has been hidden from the foundation
of the world." ' "
ZekarYahu [Zechariah]
9:9, " 'rejoice greatly, daughter of tsiyon. shout in triumph, daughter of yerushalayim.
look, your melek [king] is coming to
you; he is just and endowed with salvation, humble, and mounted
on a donkey, even on a colt, the foal of a donkey.' "
MaththiYahu
21:4-5, " 'and all this
too place that it might be filled what was spoken by the nabiy saying, " say to the daughter of tsiyon, 'see your melek [king] is
coming to you, meek and sitting on a donkey, even a colt, the
foal of a donkey.' "
ZekarYahu 11:11-13, " 'so it was broken on that day, and thus the afflicted of the flock
who were watching me realized that it was the word of dedi. 12 i said to them, "if it is good in your sight, give me
my wages; but if not, never mind." so they weighed out thirty
shekels of silver as my wages. 13 then dedi said to me, "throw it to
the potter, that magnificent price at which i
was valued by them." so
I took the thirty shekels of silver and threw them to the potter
in the house of dedi.' "
MaththiYahu
27:6-10, "and the chief
kohaniym [priests] took the silver pieces and said, 'it is
not right to put them into the treasury, seeing as they are the
price if blood. ' so they took counsel and bought with them the
potter’s field, for the burial of strangers. therefore that field
has been called the field of blood, until today. then was filled
what was spoken by the yirmeyahu [Jeremiah]
the nabiy, saying, 'and they took the
thirty pieces of silver, the price of him who was pierced, on
whom they of the sons of yisra’el set
a price, and gave them for the potter’s field as dedi had ordered me. ' "
YeshaYahu 53:12, " 'therefore, i will
allot him a portion with the great, and he will divide the booty
with the strong; because he poured out himself to death, and was
numbered with the transgressors; yet he himself bore the sin of
many, and interceded for the transgressors.' "
Mark 15:28, "and the scripture was filled which
says, 'and he was reckoned with the lawless.' "
YeshaYahu 53:1, " 'who has believed our message? and to who
has the arm of dedi been revealed?' "
Yahuchanan
[John] 12:37-38, "but though he
had done so many signs before them, they did not believe him,
that the word of yeshayahu the nabiy might be filled,
which he spoke, dedi, who has believed out
report? and to whom had the arm of dedi been revealed?' "
Thehilliym 41:9, "even my close friend in whom i trusted, who ate my bread, has lifted up his heel against
me."
Yahuchanan
13:18, "i do not speak concerning all of you. i
know whom I have chosen, but that the scripture might be filled,
'he who eats bread with me has lifted up his heel against me.'
"
Thehilliym 69:4, "those who
hate me without a cause are more than the hairs of my head; those
who would destroy me are powerful, being wrongfully my enemies;
what i did not steal, i
then have to restore."
Yahuchanan
15:24-25, "if i did not do among them the works which no one else did, they
would have no sin, but
now they have both seen and hated me and my father, but…that the
word might be filled which was written in their thorah,
'they hated me without cause.' "
Thehilliym 22:18, "they divide my garments among them, and for
my clothing they cast lots."
Yahuchanan
19:24, "so they said
to each other, 'let us not tear it, but cast lots for it-whose
will it be,' in order that the scripture might be filled which
says, 'they divided my garments among them, and for my clothing
the cast lots.' the soldiers therefore indeed did this."
Thehilliym 34:20, "he keeps all his bones; not one of them
is broken."
Yahuchanan
19:36, "for this took place in order for the
scripture to be filled: 'not one of his bones will be broken.'
"
In all these scriptures, it shows that the Words of dedi are filled. And Yahusha`, The Word
of dedi made flesh, fulfilled all of this.
As Yahusha` lives, so do the words of dedi. For they are one and the same, and
both bring life to the sons of dedi. Yahuchanan 1:1-4, "in the beginning was the word, and the word was
with dedi, and the word was dedi. he was in
the beginning with dedi. all came to be through him, and without him not even
one came to be that came to be. in him was life, and the life
was the light of men." Yahuchanan
3:34-36, "for he who dedi has sent, speaks the words of dedi, for dedi does not give
the ruach [spirit] by measure. the father
loves the son, and has given all into his hand. he who believes
in the son possesses everlasting life, but he who does not obey
the son will not see life, but the wrath of dedi remains on him." Yahuchanan 12:49-50, " 'because i spoke not from myself, but the father who sent me, has given
me a command, what i should say and
what i should speak. and i know that
his command is everlasting life. therefore, whatever i
speak, as the father has said to me, so I speak.' "
For all the wonder and life in the voice and words
of dedi, it is surprising that more people
do not want to hear it. But it seems as though most are afraid.
The sons of Yisrael were afraid, and could not hear His words.
Yet Mosheh, a nabiy [prophet] of dedi did hear the words of dedi.
Shemoth [Exodus]
20:18-19, "and all the peoples saw the
thunders, and the lightning flashes, the sound of the shofar,
and the mountain smoking. and the people saw it and the trembled
and stood at a distance, and said to mosheh,
'you speak with us and we hear, but let not dedi speak to us otherwise we die.' " And
in HaDebariym [Deuteronomy]
5:25, " 'and now
why should we die? for this great fire is consuming us. if we
hear the voice of dedi any more, we will die.' "
What does the voice of dedi sound like, that it would strike
fear into the people? Scripture describes the voice of dedi as powerful, not weak. The words
dedi speaks have the power to give life,
but they also have the power to destroy. Thehilliym 29:5-9 it reads, "the voice of dedi is breaking the cedars, dedi is breaking
the cedars of lebanon in pieces. and
he makes them skip; lebanon and siryon like a young wild
ox. the voice of dedi cuts through flames of fire. the voice of dedi shakes the wilderness; dedi shakes the
wilderness of qadesh. the voice of dedi makes the deer give birth, and strips the forests bare;
and in His heykal [Temple] everyone says, 'kabowd [Honor].'
" Also,
the Scripture likens His voice to sounds that are powerful. Thehilliym 29:4,
"the voice of dedi is with power, the voice of dedi is with greatness." Amos 1:2, "…dedi roars from tsiyon, and gives
forth his voice from yerushalayim, and
the pastures of the shepherds will mourn, and the top of karmel
will whither." Iyowb [Job] 37:4, "after it a voice roars. he thunders with the voice of his excellency, and he does not hold them back when his voice
is heard."
Hebrew is a very metaphorical language, just as in English,
the sound of a tornado is described as an oncoming train, so the
voice of dedi is described as the sound of rushing
water. Revelations 19:6,
"and i heard a voice of a great
crowd, as the sound of many waters and as the sound of mighty
thunders, saying, 'halleluyah, for dedi el shaddai reigns.' " Yechezqel [Ezekiel]
43:2,
"and see, the honor of elohey
of yisrael came from the way of the east. and his voice was like
the sound of many waters, and the earth shone from his honor." Yahuel [Joel]
3:16, "and dedi will roar from
tsiyon, and give forth his voice from
yerushalayim. and the heavens and earth will shake, but dedi will be a refuge for his people, and a stronghold for
the sons of dedi.' " YeshaYahu 66:6, "a
roaring sound from the city, a voice from the heykal,
the voice of dedi repaying his enemies." Revelations 1:15, "… and his voice as the sound of many waters."
Revelations
14:2, "and i
heard a voice out of the heavens, like the voice of many waters,
and like the voice of a loud thunder, and i
heard the sound of harpists playing their harps.' " YirmeYahu [Jeremiah] 51:16, "when he gives his voice, a multitude of waters
is in the heavens; and he causes the mists to ascend from the
end of the earth. he makes lightnings
for rain, and brings forth the wind out of his treasuries."
The
voice of dedi is also compared to that of thunder, as in Beth Shemuel [2 Samuel] 22:14, "dedi thundered from the
heavens, and the alyon [most high] sent
forth his voice." Iyowb 37:2-5, "listen, listen to the trembling
of his voice, and the sound that comes from his mouth. he lets
it loose under the heavens, and his lightning to the ends of the
earth. after it a voice roars. he thunders with the voice of his
excellency, and he does not hold them
back when his voice is heard. dedi thunders wondrously
with his voice; doing great deeds which we do not understand."
Thehilliym 18:13, "and dedi thundered from the heavens, and the alyon [most
high] sent forth his voice, hail and coals of fire." Thehilliym 81:7, "you called in distress, and i rescued
you; i answered you in the covering
of thunder; i proved you at the waters of meribah.
selah." Revelations 19:6, "and i heard a voice of a great crowd, as the sound of many waters
and as the sound of mighty thunders, saying, "halleluyah,
for dedi el shadday reigns." Thehilliym 29:3, "the voice of dedi is over the waters; the el of honor thunders; dedi is over many waters."
Yahuchanan [John] 12:28-29, " 'ab [Father], honor your name.' then
a voice came from the heaven; 'i have
both honored it and will honor it again.'
so the crowd who stood by and heard it were saying there
had been thunder. others said a malak had spoken to him." I have often
thought, that if in all the Scriptures above, it says that the
voice of dedi is as like thunder, or that it is thunder, that maybe
whenever the nebiym [prophets] such
was YeshaYahu, or YirmeYahu, or Mosheh were hearing the words
of dedi, that perhaps everyone else was hearing thunder.
The
voice of dedi is related as yet another sound,
that of rushing winds as in Acts 2:1-3, "and when the day of the chag shebaoth [Festival of Weeks] had come, they were all with
one mind in one place. and suddenly there came a sound from the
heaven, as of rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house
where they were sitting. and there appeared to them divided tongues,
as of fire, and settled on each one of them."
Thehilliym [Psalms]
104:4, " 'making his malakiym [messengers] the winds, his servants a flame of fire.'
" Thehilliym 29:5-6, " 'the voice of dedi is breaking
the cedars, dedi is breaking the cedars of lebanon
in pieces. and he makes them skip like a calf, lebanon and siryon like a young wild
ox.' " Though
this verse does not say wind, I do believe it is referring to
it. Wind has been known to have such effect as breaking trees
and sending object flying around; tornados for instance.
There
are a few instances in which his voice is referred to the sound
of a crowd. Though there are not many, and there may not be any
significance, it seems to show a common trend of his voice sounding
full, and overwhelming. Daniyel 10:6,
"…and the sounds of his words like the sound of a crowd." Revelations 19:6, "and i heard the voice of a great crowd, as the sound of many waters
and the sound of mighty thunders, saying, "halleluyah
for dedi el shadday [almighty] reigns.'
"
There is another matter that has come to my mind. In reading about the feasts with my family,
the question was brought up, "What do they represent?"
Many are symbolic of Yahusha' or things that Yahuweh
has done. Yom Teruah, Day of Trumpets
Blasts came up. It was speculated that perhaps it was symbolic
of Yericho, but then that was after
the appointed times were given. I remembered reading a few places
about the Voice of Yahuweh sounding
as a trumpet. So I wondered if that could be it. And so my mind
wandered back to Yericho. Trumpets felled a city. The voice of Yahuweh
is known to do such things… Revelations 1:10,
"i came to be in the ruach
on the day of dedi, and i heard behind me a loud
voice, as of a shofar [trumpet], saying,
'i am the 'alef' and the 'thau' and the first
and the last, ' " Yahuel 3:16, "and dedi will roar from tsiyon, and
give forth his voice from yerushalayim.
and the heavens and earth will shake, but dedi will be a refuge
for his people, and a stronghold for the sons of dedi." Shemoth 19:16-19, 16 "so it came about on the
third day, when it was morning, that there were thunders and lightning
flashes and a thick cloud upon the mountain and a very loud shofar
sound, so that all the people who were in the camp trembled. 17 and mosheh
brought the people out of the camp to meet the elohiym,
and they stood at the foot of the mountain.
18 now mount siynay was all in smoke because YHWH
descended upon it in fire; and its smoke ascended like the smoke
of a furnace, and the whole mountain quaked violently.
19 when the sound of the shofar
grew louder and louder, mosheh spoke
and the elohiym answered him with a voice."
Could it be that amidst the men of Israel, and their shofaroth,
that Yahuweh spoke, and brought down
the city? It has already been noted that his voice has the power
to make lands move (Yahuel 3:16), and trees break apart, and also
that by his voice and words, the earth was formed. It stands to
reason that by the same words and the same voice that he could
tear down that which was not of him.
Though a lot of scriptures describe His voice as great or roaring
sounds, it is not always so. Alef Melekiym [1 Kings]
19:11-12, "and he said, 'go out, and stand on the mountain
before dedi.' and see, dedi passed by, and great and strong wind tearing the mountains
and breaking the rocks in pieces before dedi - dedi was not in the wind. and after the wind and earthquake
- dedi was not in the earthquake, and after the earthquake
a fire - dedi was not in the fire and after the fire was a still small
voice. and it came to be, when eliyahu
[Eliyah] heard it, that he wrapped his face in his robe and
went out and stood at the cave opening. and see, a voice came
to him, and said, 'what are you doing here eliyahu?
' "
When dedi spoke to Shemuel the first time, he thought it was Eliy calling him. Alef Shemuel [I Samuel] 3:4-11, "and dedi called shemuel, and he answered,
'here i am.' he ran to eliy
and said, 'here i am, for you called
me.' but he said, 'i did not call.
lie down again.' so he went and lay down. and dedi again called,
'shemuel.' and shemuel
arose and went to eliy, and said, 'here
i am, for you called me.' but he answered, 'my son, i
did not call. lie down again.' now shemuel
did not yet know dedi and the word of dedi was not yet
revealed to him. and dedi called shemuel again the third
time, and he arose and went to eliy,
and said, 'here i am, for you did call
me.' then eliy understood that
dedi had called the youth. so eliy
said to shemuel, 'go, lie down. and
it will be, if he calls you, say "speak,
dedi for your servant hears." ' and shemuel went and
lay down in his place. and dedi came and stood
and called as at other times, 'shemuel.
shemuel.' and shemuel answered,
'speak for your servant hears.' "
dedi has shown himself multifaceted on more than
one occasion; and after doing this study it seemed to be shown
again. It would not be entirely appropriate to sound as thunder
or rushing waters, when speaking to a young boy, who is not familiar
with dedi, and also it would seem inappropriate to
whisper to large crowd, or to whisper when proclaiming truths
in the heavens. It seems to me to show the reality of the situation,
the actually that dedi had spoken,
and rather than blasting in a loud voice for everyone to hear,
he uses the proper methods for the proper times.
dedi also speaks through people. He uses
them to say His words. Beth Dibrey HaYamim 36:20-22, also Ezra
1:1,
"and those who escaped from the sword he exiled to
babel, where they became servants to him and his sons until
the reign of the reign of persia, in
order to fill the word of dedi through the mouth of yirmeyahu,
until the land had enjoyed her shabbathoth.
as long as she lay waste she kept shabbath,
until seventy years were completed. and in the first year of koresh
[cyrus] king of persia, in order to fill the word of dedi by the mouth of yirmeyahu,
dedi stirred up the spirit of koresh
king of persia, so that he called out in all his reign, and also put
it in writing, saying…" YirmeYahu 1:9, "then dedi put forth his
hand and touched my mouth, and dedi said to me,
'see, i have put my words in your mouth.'
" Chaggaiy [Haggai]
1:1, "in the second year of dareyawesh the king, in the sixth month, the word of dedi came by chaggaiy the nabiy [prophet] to zerubbabel ben shealti’el, governor of yahudah and to yahusha` ben yahutsadaq, the kohen gadol [High Priest] saying,…"
Chaggaiy 2:1,
"in the seventh month, on the twenty-first day of the month,
the word of dedi came by chaggaiy the nabiy saying,…" MaththiYahu [Matthew]
1:22, "and all this came to be in order to fill what
was spoken by dedi through the nabiy saying,…"
MaththiYahu 2:15,
"and remained there until the death of the herodes,
to fill what was spoken by dedi through the nabiy, saying,
'out of mistrayim i
have called my son.' "
Where in
all of these verses it specifies the word, and this study is supposedly
on the voice, they are connected. The voice is a medium for the
word to travel, and being such I thought it appropriate to include
another medium that has been shown to convey the word of dedi.
This
study dips lightly into some of what is the word of dedi, and I also thought to include a
bit about hearing of the words and of the voice. From the Scriptures
we see that it takes ears to hear dedi, and that not just anyone can. For the sons of Yisrael could
only hear the thunder, and not His words. Yahuchanan [John]
10:2-5, "but he who enters through
the door is the shepherd of the sheep. the doorkeeper opens for
him, and the sheep hear his voice. and he calls them his own sheep
by name and leads them out. and when he has brought out his own
sheep, he goes before them. and the sheep follow him, because
they know his voice. and they will be no means follow a stranger,
but will flee from him, because the do not know the voice of strangers." We are to be as these sheep, hearing dedi, and only dedi. We have to be as Shemuel saying,
“Speak, for your servant hears.” Revelations 3:6 and 22, "he who
has an ear to hear, let him hear what the ruach
(of dedi) says to the assemblies." Revelations 13:9, "if any has an ear let him hear."
As
there are those who hear, so there are those who do not. YeshaYahu 42:20,
"you see much but do not observe; ears are open, but do not
hear." YirmeYahu 6:10, "to whom will i speak
and give warning, so that they hear? see, their ear is uncircumcised,
and they are unable to listen. see, the word of dedi is a reproach
to them, they do not delight in it." ZekarYahu 7:11,
"but they refused to listen, and they shrugged their shoulders
and stopped their ears from hearing."
Thehilliym 115:6, "they have ears, but they do no hear;…"
Thehilliym 81:11-14, "but my people would not listen
to my voice, and yisra’el would not
submit to me. so i gave them over to
their own stubborn heart, to walk in their own counsels. if my
people had listened to me, yisra’el would walk in my ways, i
would subdue their enemies at once, and turn my hand against their
adversaries."
Now,
since the Voice of dedi is the thunder and also the sound of rushing water,
and the Words of dedi the living waters, as
shown in YirmeYahu [Jeremiah] 17:13, " dedi, the miqweh [cleansing pool, often translated as expectation in
English translations] of yisrael, all
who forsake you are put to shame. those who depart from me will
be written in the earth, because they have forsaken dedi, the fountain of living waters." Revelations 7:17, "because the lamb who is in
the midst of the throne will shepherd them and lead them to fountains
of waters of life. and dedi will wipe away every tear from their eyes.' " Revelations 21:6, "…to the one who thirsts i will give of
the fountain of the water of life without payment." Revelations 22:17, "and the ruach
and the bride say, 'come!' and he who hears let him say, 'come.'
and he who thirsts, come. and he who desires it, take the water
of life without paying." YirmeYahu 2:13, "for my people have done two evils: the have forsaken me, the fountain
of living waters, to hew out for themselves cisterns, cracked
cisterns, which do not hold water." Thehilliym 42:1-2, "as a deer longs for the water streams, so my being longs for you,
dedi. my being thirst
for dedi, for the living dedi. when will i enter in to appear before dedi?" Thehilliym 36:9, "for
with you is the fountain of life; in your light we see light."
Now from the
scriptures above one can see that Yahusha`
is the word, and the word is the living waters. Now, since the
word of |
