Who has seen the face of dedi [YHWH, Yahuweh]?  Can anyone describe His face? While looks do not matter or dedi and Yahusha` would be fully described in Scripture, seeing the face of dedi is a very important matter.  In I Corinthians 13:12 it states, "now we see but a poor reflection as in a mirror; then we will see face to face. now I know in part; then i will know fully, even as i am fully known."  No one has seen dedi face to face, while they were in the flesh, yet the face of dedi is very crucial to us. Let's take a look at Mosheh [Moses].

In Shemoth [Exodus] 33, we see a situation: Yisrael has committed adultery (idolatry) by making a golden calf while Mosheh [Moses]  was on the mountain receiving the thorah [teaching, laws] of dedi.  dedi tells Mosheh to lead this people into the promised land, but He ( dedi ) will not go with them. 33:12-23, " mosheh said to dedi, 'see, you are saying to me, "bring up this people,"  but you have not told me  whom you will send with me. and now, you have said, "i know you by name and you have found favor in my eyes."  and now, if i have found favor in your eyes, make me see please, your ways, and let me know you so that i may find favor in your eyes. And consider that this goy is your people.' "   Mosheh is not stupid. He does not want to go without dedi.

" then he (dedi) replied, 'my presence will go with you, and i will give you rest.' then mosheh said to him, 'if your presence does not go with us, do not send us up from here.  how will anyone know that you are pleased with me and with your people unless you go with us? what else will distinguish me and your people from all the other people on the face of the earth?' and dedi said to mosheh, 'i will do the very thing you have asked, because i am pleased with you and i know you by name. 'then mosheh said, 'now show me your honor (kabowd).'  and dedi said, 'i will cause all my goodness to pass in front of you, and i will proclaim my name, dedi,  in your presence. i will have mercy on whom i will have mercy, and i will have compassion on whom i will have compassion. 'but,' he said, 'you cannot see my face, for no one may see me and live.' then dedi said, 'there is a place near me where you may stand on a rock.  when my honor (kabowd) passes by, i will put you in a cleft in the rock and cover you with my hand until i have passed by.  then i will remove my hand and you will see my back; but my face must not be seen.' "

dedi is pure and righteous. Sin cannot live in His presence. He is an all consuming fire ( HaDebariym [Deuteronomy] 4:24, YeshaYahu [Isaiah] 30:27, Ibriym [Hebrews] 12:29)  and we would be destroyed if we looked on His face in these fleshly, mortal bodies made of dust. Since all have sinned and fallen short of the honor of dedi ( Romans 3:23 ) and there is no one righteous, no not one ( Romans 3:10 ) , not one of us is pure and righteous, spotless, blameless, without blemish and can stand in His presence face to face. Even YeshaYahu [Isaiah]- chapter 6,  realized his situation and cried out,  " ' woe to me. i am ruined. for i am a man of unclean lips, and i live among a people of unclean lips, and my eyes have seen the king, dedi tsebaoth.' "  YeshaYahu did not see dedi face to face; dedi was surrounded by smoke that filled the temple (6:4), much in the same way that the dark cloud was in the tent when Mosheh met with YHWH. Then a seraph takes tongs and gets a coal from the altar and touches YeshaYahu’s lips saying, " ' see, this has touched your lips; your guilt is taken away and your sin atoned for.' "   Whether this was a vision or YeshaYahu was actually transported to the heavens in bodily form, he could not even be in the presence of  dedi without atonement for sins or he would be destroyed.

The relationship dedi had with Mosheh [Moses] was a special one. Shemoth [Exodus] 33:11, " dedi would speak to Mosheh face to face, as a man speaks with his friend." Again, Mosheh did not see the actual face of  dedi,  because the tent was filled with a cloud when dedi would speak to him as Shemoth 33:9 points out. By the way, the Hebrew word used there for this cloud is that of a nimbus cloud; those are the dark rolling, boiling, puffy storm clouds. But that's another study on the voice of dedi.  In BeMidbar [Numbers] 12, Miriyam and Aharon [Aaron], sister and brother of Mosheh, have been grumbling against Mosheh and saying,  " 'hasn't dedi also spoken through us?' "  dedi was angered at the two and called them and Mosheh to the tent of meeting. Verses 6-8,  " 'listen to my words, when a nabiy [prophet] of dedi is among you, i reveal myself to him in visions, i speak to him in dreams. but this is not true of my servant mosheh, he is faithful in all my house. with him i speak mouth to mouth, clearly and not in riddles; he sees the form of dedi. why then were you not afraid to speak against my servant mosheh?' "  Notice verse 3, that Mosheh was more humble than anyone else on the face of the earth. Humility goes a long way in a relationship with dedi.

The word “form” here is temunah, which means- something portioned, fashioned out, shape, phantom, manifestation, image, likeness. These are the places where this word occurs. Check it out. It is very interesting. Shemoth [Exodus] 20:4, BeMidbar [Numbers] 12:8, HaDebariym [Deuteronomy] 4:12,15,16,23,25, 5:8, Iyowb [Job] 4:16, and Thehillah [Psalm] 17:15.

Now that we have established that no one may see His face while in this fleshly form, let's take a look at the importance of seeking His face and having His face look upon us.  I Dibrey Hayamiym [Chronicles] 16:11," Look to dedi and His strength; seek His face always."  Thehillah [Psalm] 11:7, "for dedi is righteous, he loves justice; upright men will see his face."  Thehillah 24:6,  "such is the generation of those who seek him, yaaqob, who seek your face. selah"  In the previous verses it describes the generation: he who has clean hands and a pure heart, does not lift his soul up to an idol or swear by what is false. Thehillah 27:8,9, "my heart says of you,' seek his face.' your face, dedi, i will seek. do not hide your face from me, do not turn your servant away in anger; you have been my helper. do not reject me or forsake me, dedi my yesha` [savior, deliverer]."  Thehillah 119:58,  "i have sought your face with all my heart; show favor  to me according to your promise."

Here we are beginning to see the connection between the face of  dedi, shining upon us as blessing and His face turned away as cursing. Thehillah [Psalm] 67:,  " may dedi favor us and bless us and make his face shine upon us,"  HaDebariym [Deuteronomy] 31:17-18,  " 'on that day i will become angry with them and forsake them; i will hide my face from them, and they will be destroyed. many disasters and difficulties will come upon them, and on that day they will ask, 'have not these disasters come upon us because dedi is not with us?'  and i will certainly hide my face on that day because of all their wickedness in turning to other elohiym.' "   The reason for this action of dedi, is that of the rebellion of Yisrael and breaking of the beriyth [covenant] with Him. Thehillah [Psalm] 34:15,16,  "the eyes of dedi are on the righteous and his ears are attentive to their cry; the face of dedi is against those who do evil, to cut off the memory of them from the earth."   YirmeYahu [Jeremiah] 18:17,   " 'like a wind from the east, i will scatter them  before their enemies; i will show them my back and not my face in the day of their disaster.' "  And finally, I Kefa [Peter] 3:12, which is a quote of Thehillah [Psalm] 34:12- 16,  " 'who is the man who desires life, who loves many days of seeing good? keep your tongue from evil, and your lips from speaking deceit. turn away from evil and do good; seek shalom and pursue it. the eyes of dedi are on the righteous, and his ears unto their cry. the face of dedi is against evil-doers, to cut off their memory from the earth.' "

For many and varied reasons, the Qehillah [assembly] has not been properly training, discipling those who are birthed into the kingdom of dedi. Numbers, rather than maturity and righteous fruit, seem to be more important. Many believers, especially those grafted in, do not even know the requirements of dedi.  They do not know what the terms of the beriyth [covenant], between themselves  and dedi, are. That beriyth [covenant] is a contract cut between two parties: dedi and those who choose to accept Him. It is no different than a contract you make with any business or individual. If you signed a contract without having it explained or reading what it was you were signing, you would be irresponsible and foolish. Having signed such a contract, you would be held responsible for the terms written. If, you did not keep up your part, you would then be penalized. We, as believers, are not merely accepting Yahusha` as our Savior, and worshipping dedi as the One,  just as a ticket away from sheol [hell] and into the heavens; at least we shouldn't. Yet, before we make this beriyth [covenant], we are not told of the terms. Yes, we have a copy of them - the Scriptures, but many do not study it and obey.  dedi desires obedience, more than sacrifice ( I Shemuel [Samuel] 15:22,23).

There's an interesting account in II Melekiym [Kings] 17:24-41. The kingdom of Yisrael ( the nation of Yisrael was split up into two kingdoms. Yahudah [Judah]  and Yisrael- the other ten tribes) were carted off into captivity by the king of Ashshur [Assyria]. The king of Ashshur [Assyria] did something no other king had done; he took some of Yisrael out of the land of Yisrael and put other conquered peoples in their place. The following is very interesting......

" the king of ashshur [Assyria] brought people from babel [babylon], kuthah [cuthah], awwah, chamath and shefariym [sepharvaim] and settled them in the towns of shomron [samaria] to replace yisrael. they took over shomron [samaria] and lived in its towns. when they first lived there, they did not worship dedi; so he sent lions among them and they killed some of the people.  it was reported to the king of ashshur [assyria], 'the people you deported and resettled in the towns of shomron  do not know what elohi of that country requires. he has sent lions among them, which are killing them off, because the people do not know what he requires.' then the king of ashshur [assyria] gave this order, 'have one of the kohaniym [priests] you took captive from shomron go back to live there and teach the people what elohi of the land requires.'  so one of the kohaniym [priests] who had been exiled from shomron came to live in beyth el [bethel] and taught them how to worship dedi.

nevertheless, each national group made its own elohiym in the several towns where they settled, and set them up in the shrines the people of shomron [samaria] had made at the high places. the men from babel [babylon] made sukkoth benoth, the men from kuthah [cuthah] made nergal, and the men from chamath made ashima;  the awwiy made nibhaz and tartak, and the shefariym [sepharvites] burned their children in the fire as sacrifices to adrammelek and anammelek, the elohi of shefariym.  they worshiped dedi, but they also appointed all sorts of their own people to officiate for them as kohaniym [priests] in the shrines at the high places.  they worshiped dedi, but they also served their own elohiym in accordance with the customs of the goyim [nations] from which they had been brought.

to this day they persist in their former practices. they neither worship dedi nor adhere to the decrees and ordinances, the thorah [instruction-laws] and commands that dedi gave the descendants of yaaqob [jacob], whom he named yisrael. when dedi made a beriyth [covenant] with yisrael, he commanded them, 'do not worship any other elohiym or bow down to them, serve them or sacrifice to them.  but dedi, who brought you up out of mitsrayim [egypt] with mighty power and outstretched arm, is the one you must worship. to him you will bow down and to him offer sacrifices.  you must always be careful to keep the decrees and ordinances, the thorah [teachings, laws] and commands he wrote for you. do not worship elohiym of others.  do not forget the beriyth [covenant] i have made with you, and do not worship the elohiym of others.  rather, worship dedi; it is he who will deliver you from the hand of all your enemies.'

they would not listen, however, but persisted in their former practices.  even while these goyim [gentiles] were worshiping dedi, they were serving their idols. to this day their children and grandchildren continue to do as their fathers did."

Some of these people are the Shomroniym  [Samaritans] of the Testimony [Gospels]. Now, you can better understand all that friction between the Yahudiym [Jews] and the Shomron. Anyway, what we have in the Qehillah [assembly] today, are a lot of spiritual minglers. Believers are not keeping to the beriyth [covenant] of dedi, but rather have adopted doctrines, practices and denominational traditions and mingled a little of dedi with them, as the Shomron mingled their own practices with those of the elohey of the land of Yisrael. According to the  words of  dedi, He will show them His back and not His face. We need to seek His face, and not the faces of the men running assemblies built in the fashion of men and not dedi. He is faithful to fulfill His part of the beriyth [covenant] and will shine His face upon us when we fulfill our part; and we can only do that if we know what our part is. But, if we willingly choose to follow our own course or simply disobey because of ignorance, He will turn His back on us. I don't know about you, but I'd rather have the face.

Revelations 22:3-5, " no longer will there be any curse. the throne of dedi and of the lamb will be in the city, and his servants will serve him. they will see his face, and his name will be on their foreheads. there will be no more night. they will not need the light of a lamp or the light of the sun, for dedi will give them light. and they will reign forever and ever."

One day we will see dedi face to face, when our mortal bodies have been changed, when the perishable becomes the imperishable, when the earthly body is changed to a heavenly body, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. Then we will see dedi face to face (I Corinthians 15:35-). Till then we will have to be as Dawiyd in Thehillah [Psalm] 18:15,  "and i- in righteousness i will see your face; when i awake, i will be satisfied with seeing your likeness [temuwnah]. let it be so."
