The

study of the historical application of chodesh is a
separate study.

'and in the
beginnings of your months you will bring near a burnt offering to YHWH, two
bulls, sons of the herd, and one ram, seven lambs, sons of a year, perfect ones; 12 and
three-tenth deals of flour, a present, mixed with oil, for the one bull, and
two-tenth deals of flour, a present, mixed with oil, for the one ram. 13 and a several tenth deal of
flour, a present, mixed with oil, for the one lamb; a burnt offering, a sweet
fragrance, a fire offering to YHWH. 14
and their drink offerings are a half of the hin to a
bull, and a third of the hin to a ram, and a fourth
of the hin to a lamb, of wine; this, the burnt
offering of every month for the months of the year.' "

offerings, to atone for the beyth yisrael.'
"
Thehillah [Psalm] 81:3(4),4(5), " 'blow
the shofar in the new moon, at the full moon, on our

this was a rule for yisrael, an ordinance of the elohey of yaaqob.' "
I Dibrey HaYamiym [I Chronicles]
23:28-31, "because their office was to wait on the
sons of aharon
for the service of the beyth YHWH, in the courts, and
in the chambers, and in the purifying of all set apart things, and the work of
the service of beyth of the elohiym,
both for the bread of arrangement, and for the fine flour for food offering,
and for the unleavened cakes, and for the pan, and for what is soaked in oil,
and for every measure and size, and to stand every morning to thank and praise
YHWH, and likewise at evening. and they were to offer all burnt sacrifices to
YHWH in the shabbath, in the new moons, and on the moadiym, by number, according to the order commanded to
them, continually before the face of YHWH,"
II Dibrey HaYamiym 2:3(4), " 'look, i am building a beyth to the name YHWH elohay, to
dedicate to him, to burn incense of sweet spices before him, and for the
continual bread of arrangement, and for burnt offerings morning and evening, on
the shabbath, and on the new moons, and at the moadey of YHWH our elohey. this will be on yisrael forever.'
"
II Dibrey HaYamiym 8:12,13,
"then shlomoh
offered burnt offerings to YHWH on the altar of YHWH that he had built before
the porch, even as the matter of every
day required, offering according to the commands of mosheh,
on the shabbathoth, and on the new moons, and on the moadoth three times in the year, on chag
hamatstsoth, and on chag hashabuoth, and on chag hasukkoth."
